As of September 1st 2006, Expotan is proud to announce that it has received the Oeko-Text Standard 100 Certification for it products and is the first Fur dressing and Dyeing Company in the world to achieve this recognition.
Oeko-tex Standard 100 - tested for harmful substances - was established in 1992 by a consortium of leading textil research institutes in Europe and is currently the most widely used international eco-label to cover the whole range of textil products.
Now for the first time in the world eco-certified furs, can be offered to the international Fur & Fashion Market. The procedures before obtaining the worlds leading eco-label include big processing changes from the technical point of view like Environmental Audit of all Chemicals and Auxiliaries in use, followed by an Action Plan to phase out all harmful substances, substitution of Chemicals and Dyes, Process Optimization and Permanent Quality Control.
